Self-Managing Supply Chains
Sensors track temperature, humidity, vibration, location and delay across every shipment. Agentic AI reroutes shipments, renegotiates with suppliers, and triggers alternate fulfillment — reacting to disruption in real time instead of at the next status meeting.
Disruption doesn't wait for a batch job
A cold-chain shipment that drifts out of temperature range, a port delay, or a supplier that misses a shipping window all need a response measured in hours, not the next scheduled supply-chain review. That means the sensor data — temperature, humidity, vibration, location — has to reach a decision-making agent continuously, and the agent's response — reroute, renegotiate, substitute — has to reach the systems that execute it just as fast.
Relay carries both halves of that loop: telemetry from shipment sensors and logistics partners over MQTT, AMQP or whichever protocol a given partner uses, and agent decisions distributed to warehouse, carrier and ERP systems over the same real-time bus, with delivery guarantees switched on for the legs of the chain that can't tolerate a lost message.
How Relay fits
- →Multi-protocol ingestion: sensor and partner-system telemetry connects on whichever protocol it already speaks.
- →Exactly-once delivery where it matters: a rerouting decision can be configured never to be lost or duplicated in transit.
- →Real-time resiliency: disruptions are visible to the deciding agent the moment they happen, not on the next data refresh.
